Dec. 6 CD release event moved to another venue

You may have heard about the recent closing of Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, which occurred during an abrupt reorganization of management. The doors to the Marshall Mansion in Shadyside, and its Roots Cellar room where Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle has held its CD release events for 10 years, were locked about a week before Songwriters Circle’s 15th annual CD release event in that venue.Because of those developments the Songwriters Circle show has been moved to:The Penn Hebron Garden Club (The Barn),  237 Jefferson Road, Penn Hills. Date, time and admission remain unchanged.6:30 p.m. Fri., Dec. 6, $7 admission, age 10 and under free.A historic 19th century Penn Hebron structure in Penn Hills, known to local residents as The Barn, was constructed in 1834 of hand-hewn virgin oak on a 340-acre family farm. Since 1928 it has been owned and managed by the women of the Penn Hebron Garden Club. In recent years The Barn has hosted weddings and other family events, as well as a respected Americana music series that has included several shows featuring members of Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle. Comfortable and informal, The Barn has free off-street parking, no smoking and a BYOB policy with no corking fee. Located 2 miles off I-376 in Monoeville.  Click here for a map. Questions, anything, call John at 412-335-1446.
All Songwriters Circle members with a song on the project are invited to perform one song. No more than two accompanists. Try to arrive as near to 6 p.m. as possible. On arrival find John and get on the performance roster. Keep it short, there are a lot of headliners on this show.
