Today, management at Hambone’s was informed that in light of the death of its owner, the bank has foreclosed on the venue. HAMBONE’S IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.Arrangements have been made to hold the next meeting of Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle at The Starlite Lounge, home of a popular open stage (before COVID-19) in Blawnox. Covid precautions have been worked out with management. The backroom  dining area will be thoroughly sanitized before our arrival. We will be well-spaced and masks are mandatory except while singing, eating or drinking.Free parking on the street and two doors down in the parking lot of Moondog’s, which is closed. The Starlite has a reasonably priced menu, specializes in perogies and is run by Ron “Moondog” Esser, one of the few good guys of the local music scene. We get the space for free with no minimum purchase, but please plan to buy something to eat and/or drink as a gesture of our appreciation. MapMenu.
