June Meeting
Hey songwriters,
The June 4 meeting of Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle was a very productive session featuring three new members; constructive insight on songs about hope and regret or the workshopping of songs that will appear on this year’s album project; a solid featured set by Frankie Lee and a very full open stage that stretched until the wee hours.
At the July 2 meeting (7 p.m. Bloomfield Bridge Tavern 4412 Liberty Ave., 412-682-8611), the optional songwriting assignment will be “city,” or workshop the song you plan to put on the Circle album project. Kate Snow (katesnow@katesnow.com) will be the featured performer.
Album project
Participating members who haven’t yet set up their first recording session have to contact producer Doug Wilkin by the end of the day Fri., June 7. Reach Doug at 412-871-5325 or djwaudio@comcast.net. The first-session deadline is intended the advance the project and prevent a bottleneck of first sessions near the recording deadline.
Revenue totaling $2,700 representing duping fees from 27 album project participants was transferred from a temporary holding account at the Post-Gazette credit union to a savings account managed by treasurer Tom Beckman (beckman12@verizon.net). John Hayes was reimbursed $150 for group expenses (the web site hosting fee and acquisition of the domain name).
