Ray Lanich Band was formed by Ray Lanich in September 2012 and features Ray Lanich (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Dan Gibson (Tenor and Alto Saxophones, Percussion, and Backing Vocals), Paul Tunis (Bass), and Steve Gramley (Drums, Backing Vocals, and Lead Vocals). Ray is from Erie, PA; Paul is from Lancaster, PA; Steve is from Edinboro, PA; Dan is from Mentor, OH; but all the guys currently reside in the Pittsburgh area. Steve, Dan, and Ray are college buddies and all are members of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity (Edinboro University Chapter). Paul grew up in Lancaster, PA and is a member of the Amish Mafia (TOTALLY NOT TRUE, but wouldn’t it be cool if he was?!). Paul, with his bass playing expertise, joined the band in late September of 2012. Despite the band’s short tenure, their high-energy stage show has already earned them a seat as one of Pittsburgh’s best live bands. The band has performed in Pittsburgh at Hambone’s, Howlers Coyote Cafe, The Hop House, Peter’s Pub, Excuses, Inn Termission Lounge, Riley’s Pour House, Thunderbird Cafe, 99 Bottles, and Club Cafe; in Sutersville, PA at Sheree’s Tavern; in Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH at The Cove Nightclub; and in Cleveland, OH at Wilbert’s. The best is yet to come for this up and coming group!
