OCTOBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

Hey songwriters,

The group’s new arrangement with Hambone’s went smoothly Wednesday, when Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle held its first meeting on the new night. With no deadline, everyone in the full house was able to workshop a song and discuss it with the group. The Circle meeting ended at about 9:15 p.m. and was immediately followed by a new feature, a listening room members’ showcase in which Vince Rause (vpmr@aol.com) performed an intimate 20-minute set before other members played a couple of songs each open stage-style.

Inspired by Vince’s touching reply to John Prine’s “Hello in There,” the suggested assignment for the Wed., Nov. 6 meeting is to write a response or reply or continuation of a song that is likely to be familiar to Songwriters Circle members. Read more about the assignment on the website’s Monthly Assignments page.

CD project

Been there, done that. An outstanding job was done by producer Mike Hickman (studio@fallguys.net) and Debbi Pace (woodrose2007@verizon.net) to complete and upload audio and graphics files ahead of deadline. I’ll keep you posted on when our shipment arrives.
