October Meeting
Hey songwriters,
In the presence of two of Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle’s prodigal sons and two songwriters who had tried us once and liked us, Tuesday’s group meeting included solid in-depth analysis of song structure, lyrics and melodies. Mark Bennett (forwardrealty@mac.com) brought a talented band to help him showcase his songs in the featured slot.
You won’t want to miss a rare appearance by Jack Erdie (jackerdie@comcast.net) as the featured performer following the 7 p.m. Nov. 5 meeting at Bloomfield Bridge Tavern (412-682-8611 bloomfieldbridgetavern.com), where the topic of the optional songwriting assignment is “confessions.”
CD release
If you don’t have a song on this year’s Songwriters Circle compilation album, please come to the CD release event to help celebrate your colleagues’ achievement. If you’re on the album and playing the show, please promote the event through your mailing list, and ask family, friends and fans to get to the venue as early as possible so they don’t miss your set. The roster will develop as you arrive. Check in with me when you get there; Marty Zundel will be the stage manager.
